It's starting to look real!

Some of the library staff had the opportunity to check in on progress upstairs yesterday. We're excited to see that most of the new walls are up and that it's becoming easier to envision the Learning Commons.

These will be small podcasting and recording rooms. 

The area that used to be behind the stacks, where the individual study desks were located. There will be a large conference-style room located along this wall. 

Offices are going in.

Looking between rooms-in-progress to the open area in the center (where the worker is standing). The former children's room may be seen in the background; this is where the Writing Center will be located in the fall.

And, very exciting: the new front desk has arrived!

The Learning Commons is Progressing

With the drywall being finished and the construction crew working hard you can start to see what the final outcome will look like.
