First Week Library Hours

WELCOME TO FALL! We have adjusted hours for the first week as our student aides finalize their schedules. 

Monday 8/24 - Thursday 8/27: 8:00 a.m. - 7:50 p.m.
Friday 8/28: 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m.
Saturday 8/29: 9:00 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
Sunday 8/30: 1:00 p.m. - 6:50 p.m. 

Library spaces closed Thursday-Monday this week

 

 

The library spaces in Reeves Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday (May 28 & 29) for the scheduled electrical maintenance on the main campus. We are also participating in the SHU Monday energy conservation efforts & will be remote on June 1st, as well.

 

Easter Break Hours

 

The Library will be open 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd; CLOSED Good Friday through Easter Sunday; and will be open 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. on Monday, April 6th. 

Spring Break Hours

 

We hope everyone's enjoying spring break! The Library will be open 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. this week and will be closed this coming weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready, on Monday the 9th!

Closed Sunday & Monday

 

The library office & spaces (the rooms with the books) will be CLOSED on Sunday and Monday (1/25-26) in consideration of the safety of our student workers & staff. The common spaces of Reeves Hall are expected to be open as usual, and library staff will be available remotely on Monday.

Thanksgiving break hours

 Reeves Memorial Library will be closing at 4:50 today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday) and will be closed from Thursday through Sunday for the Thanksgiving break.

J-Term Hours

 

Happy New Year! The library's hours of operation for the remainder of J-Term (through January 20th) are 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m., Monday through Friday. We will be closed on January 15th for the Winter Workshop and on January 20th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Extended Weekend Hours

 

Happy Extended Weekend! The Library will be CLOSED Saturday & Sunday and will be open 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. on Monday & Tuesday. 

Closed Wednesday for Juneteenth

 

The Library and the rest of the University are CLOSED tomorrow, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth.

Finals Week Hours

It's finals week!

The Library (the staff office and the rooms with the books) will be open the following hours this week; the Learning Commons space is separate from the Library and its hours are not expected to change.

Tuesday, May 7: 8:00 a.m. - 9:50 p.m.

Wednesday & Thursday, May 8 & 9: 8:00 a.m. - 7:50 p.m.

Friday, May 10: 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m.

CLOSED on Saturday & Sunday, May 11 & 12

Spring break hours

 

The Library will be closed March 2-3, open 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. March 4-8, and closed March 9-10 for spring break. Normal term hours will resume on Monday, March 11th. Have a safe and happy spring break!

J-Term Hours

 

Library hours for J-Term (January 3rd - January15th) will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m., except for Thursday, January 11th (closed for the SHU employee winter workshop) and Monday, January 15th (closed for MLK Jr. Day).

Winter Break Closure

 

Happy holidays! The Library will be closed from December 21st through January 2nd and will reopen on January 3rd. Have a safe and happy break. 

Closed July 1 - 4th

The Library and the University will be CLOSED Saturday, 7/1 - Tuesday, 7/4 in observance of Independence Day. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Memorial Day weekend closure

The Library is closing tomorrow (Thursday, 5/25) at noon for the annual SHU Employee picnic and will remain closed for the holiday weekend. Regular summer hours will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30th.
